7th Ka-Band Utilization Conference [external link]

Location: Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy
This year's conference returns to Italy. The focus of the conference will be on Ka Band systems that are now completing the design phase and starting fabrication, along with an update on the user terminals, which are a critical ingredient in the success of these ventures. It will also include reports on the progress of those systems that have been launched and have started service, along with the latest in the areas of architectures, protocols, and components for both flight and ground applications.

ACTS Extension Workshop

A one-day workshop held at NASA's Glenn Research Center on the opportunity to extend the operations of the Advanced Communications Technology Satellite (ACTS) to support education and research based activities.

6th Ka-Band Utilization Conference/ACTS Conference 2000 [external link]

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
A scientific conference dedicated to the diffusion of information on all aspects of satellite communications at 20-30 GHz and higher frequencies. The entire first day was be dedicated to ACTS, starting with a number of technical sessions featuring invited papers summarizing the program accomplishments, followed by a presentation of the Glenn Research Center’s future activities in satellite communications.

As part of the Sixth Ka-Band Utilization Conference a one-day event to commemorate the conclusion of NASA's Advanced Communications Technology Satellite (ACTS) Experiment Program will be held. Leading satellite experts from Industry and NASA will reflect upon this successful experimental communications satellite, and recognize its impact on the communications satellite industry.

18th AIAA International Communication Satellite Systems Conference and Exhibit [external link]

Location: Oakland, California, USA
The theme of the conference, "Satellite Communication Systems and Services for the New Century," will give special emphasis to new services and to the interoperability of terrestrial and satellite communications, as well as covering the satellite systems topics with which the conference is traditionally associated. There will be an ACTS session under the Experimental Satellites Section.

Fifth Ka-Band Utilization Conference [external link]

A scientific conference dedicated to the diffusion of information on all aspects of satellite communications at 20-30 GHz and higher frequencies.
